The Hammerheads will travel to Ireland in 2016

 

 

         

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Syracuse University Rugby Football Club will be touring Ireland in 2016 from Saturday March 12th to Sunday march 20th. The Hammerheads leave from JFK in New York City and arrive in Dublin to kick off the tour. Upon arrival in Dublin, the Hammerheads will attend the Italy vs. Ireland 6 Nations match at Aviva Stadium. On the second day, Syracuse will play its first match of the tour against Dublin Men's Rugby Club. Additionally on that day, we will get a guided tour of Aviva Lansdowne Road, The Home of Irish Rugby.

 

Syracuse will spend two days in Dublin and then travel 130 miles to Galway City on the west coast of Ireland. One the 4th day, SURFC will be visiting the historic Cliffs of Moher. The next day, Syracuse will be playing its 2nd match of the tour against Galway Men’s Rugby Club.

 

On the 6th day of tour, St. Patrick’s Day, the Hammerheads will travel 60 miles south to Limerick City and attend the Limerick City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The day after, we will be getting a guided tour of Burnatty Castle and experience how to play hurling, the Gaelic game with prehistoric origins. The following day Syracuse faces off against Limerick Men’s Rugby Club.
